Meet the Author
My name is Torri Belle, and when I am not blissfully adrift in my imagination creating immersive and titillating alternative realities, I can be found playing beach volleyball, practicing law, spending time with my wolf of a dog, Star, or hanging out with loved ones.
I attended Princeton University where I studied Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and played volleyball. Before becoming a lawyer, I worked in fashion and founded a clothing line.
Today I live in coastal Southern California where life is a beautiful, adventure every day. And yet, there are some days when I long to live somewhere as atmospheric and mysterious as Fell’s Hollow.
Prey is the first book of The Inverness Chronicles, an atmospheric and twisty eight-book series. Growing up, the supernatural young adult section of any Borders or Barnes & Noble was my absolute favorite place to be. Inspired by the likes of L.J. Smith, Garth Nix, Richelle Mead, and Christopher Pike—to name a few—I always wanted to create my own dark, sumptuous, thrilling world for readers to escape into. Combine that with my Ivy League background and love for the coastal Pacific Northwest, and Inverness University and Fell’s Hollow were born.
